|Back from a season-ending knee injury, Tannehill says he has healed and feels "totally normal," allowing him to take part in offseason workouts now underway. Speaking publicly Thursday for the first time since the season ended, Tannehill said he has no remaining hurdles in his recovery, and pronounced his knee healed.
Analysis: Tannehill missed last season's final four games, including a playoff loss at Pittsburgh, after spraining the ACL and MCL in his left knee. After surgery was ruled out, Tannehill rehabilitated the partially torn ligaments and underwent stem cell treatments.

|The Chicago Bears signed Cruz to a one-year contract Thursday.
Analysis: A feared receiver with the Giants, he helped them win the Super Bowl before being slowed by injuries. He was released after seven seasons in February. Cruz has 303 catches for 4,549 yards and 25 touchdowns. A knee injury and a calf problem caused him to miss most of the 2014 season and all of 2015. Last year, he had 39 catches and one touchdown reception.

|Garrett, the No. 1 overall draft pick, is not practicing because of an unspecified injury.

|Bridgewater has reached the point in rehabilitation where he's able to drop back to pass on his surgically repaired left knee.

|Kirkpatrick was on the sidelines at practice for voluntary organized team activities due to a broken hand suffered in "freak accident."
Analysis: Kirkpatrick, sporting a cast on his hand, told reporters Tuesday he has a small fracture on his right hand and expects to be out of practice for two to three weeks, although he did not elaborate on the accident.

|5/24/2017||Colin Kaepernick, SF, QB|
|The Seattle Seahawks are planning to work out Kaepernick as a possible backup option behind starter Russell Wilson.
Analysis: Kaepernick, waiting for an opportunity almost three months on the free agent market, will work out for the team Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Seahawks also plan to bring in other reserve quarterbacks to work out. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said last week that Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III were among the free agents they were considering as a potential backup to Wilson. Irving had four sacks and led the Cowboys with 26 quarterback pressures in 2016. Dallas signed Irving in 2015 off the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad. He signed a one-year deal as an exclusive rights free agent in 2017 and can become a restricted free agent at the end of the upcoming season.
|5/22/2017||Devin Smith, NYJ, WR|
|Smith has been placed on injured reserve after clearing waivers.
Analysis: A second-round pick of the Jets in 2015, Smith's professional career has been wrecked by injuries that include an ACL tear he sustained during offseason workouts. The 25-year-old has caught 10 passes while appearing in only 14 games over his first two seasons.
|5/22/2017||O.J. Howard, TB, TE|
|The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed tight end O.J. Howard, the team's first-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Analysis: Howard, the 19th overall pick out Alabama, signed a four-year rookie contract with a fifth-year club option. Terms of the deal were not released but it is projected to be worth $11.2 million with about $6.2 million to sign, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

|McCourty has signed a two-year contract with the Cleveland Browns.
Analysis: McCourty played the past eight seasons in Tennessee, starting 90 games for the Titans. The 5-foot-11 McCourty fills a major need for the Browns, who are thin in their secondary. He gives the team experience and depth. After being named a starting cornerback in 2011, McCourty led Tennessee during the past six seasons with 11 interceptions. Last season, he started 14 games and led the Titans defensive backs with 64 tackles.

Analysis: Bucannon was selected as a safety in the first round out of Washington State in 2014. The Cardinals soon moved him to inside linebacker because of a need at that position and he's been there since. Bucannon led the team in tackles each of the last two seasons. Analysis: Lacy, who turns 27 next month, had an incentive to come in under 255 pounds in his first official weigh-in after struggling to maintain a proper weight with the Green Bay Packers. He signed a one-year deal in March and is set to make $5.5 million, with $3 million fully guaranteed. Lacy's contract with the Seahawks contains seven potential weight bonuses worth a total of $385,000, according to ESPN. The next weigh-in will be on June 12 and requires him to be at 250.
